ON AN EVEN KEEL / EN ÉQUILIBRE
On an Even Keel is an art exhibition of paintings that explores the concept of equilibrium, using the horizon as a metaphor for stability. Literally, the expression means that a boat is balanced. Figuratively, it is used to describe someone or something that is progressing smoothly and steadily, without any sudden changes.
This series, started in recent years, is inspired by sailing trips on Lake Ontario.
The exhibition will be open to the public from Oct 19 to November 12 2023, in the Focus Project Gallery, inside MELT Studio + Gallery, Base 31.
Gallery HOURS are Thursday to Sunday, 11 am to 5 pm.
En équilibre explore le concept de stabilité, en utilisant l’horizon comme métaphore. Littéralement, l’expression signifie qu’un bateau est en équilibre. Au sens figuré, il est utilisé pour décrire quelqu’un ou quelque chose qui progresse de manière fluide et régulière, sans aucun changement soudain.
Cette série, commencée ces dernières années, s’inspire de voyages en voilier sur le lac Ontario.

Les heures d’ouverture sont du jeudi au dimanche, de 11h à 17h.
